Mesothelioma has struck again! A Magistrates court heard, after an 81 year old former Civil Servant died of lung cancer.
An inquest into his death proved he had the diease which is caused by asbestos fibres. Having been exposed to it throughout his life, which he spent working for the Army. A pathologist concluded he'd had heavy exposure to it, throughout his working life.
There was no evidence to suggest where he could have been exposed to the asbestos.
A coroner recorded and open verdict saying the former Civil Servant had more than average exposure, although the evidence to prove it was not available.
