Advertiser agencies are able to see "referrer" websites if you happen to click a link, whilst on social networking. Many of the sites include personal information in the URL, such as; user name, ID or search phrases. Allowing opportunities to take your profile with further personal information cotaining your address, city and date of birth.

Whilst social networking is viewed as an opening to broaden your business prospects, they on the other hand, see the problem as a general risk that you are prepared to take when accessing the internet.

Recent criminals were found to be posing as a friend of the users and even sending messages which are riddled with viruses instead. Most of which appear to look like video's or web links.
