Occupational Hygiene
Occupational Hygiene is the recognition, evaluation and control of chemical, physical and microbiological hazards capable of affecting the health, safety and welfare of personnel in the working environment. To support assessments made under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations, AOH Limited specifically offers exposure monitoring, surveys and control advice in the following areas :
- Dust - silica, cotton, nuisance, flour, coal etc
- Asbestos
- Solvents - organic, acid, alkali,
- Fumes - welding and burning, solder, rosin, foundry products etc
- Gases - oxygen, oxides of carbon, ozone, oxygen deficiency, nitrous gases etc
- Thermal Environments - dry bulb, wet bulb, radiant heat, air movement, humidity, thermal stress and office comfort
- Legionella - testing and engineering compliance of water systems
- Ventilation - local exhaust ventilation systems, general dilution ventilation
- Noise - occupational exposures, area monitoring, hearing protection selection, control recommendations and environmental noise assessments and impact studies.
